1.How does UAT works?

UAT is a new audio coding method based on DCT. First, it can quickly identify the type of signal and select the appropriate encoding mode through intelligent analysis. Then do quantization according to the specified bitrate. The trebles are preserved as much as possible in the process of quantization.

There is a dynamic transmission optimization can be performed for different genres and more bandwidth resources are allocated to some specific frequency bands to get more detail.

Entropy coding is performed after the quantization and then pack the code and side information to one stream for transmission. In addition, UAT also has a noise level detector which can effectively remove the noise existing in the original audio, making the transmission more efficient.

2. What product can use UAT?

HiBy R6, HiBy R6Pro, HiBy R3, Cayin N8, Hidizs AP80, and other HiBy OS devices, UAT encoding can be directly used on these players as audio output. For Android-based phones, playing music by using HiByMusic can also be encoded with UAT.

3. Can all the mobile phone work with HiBy W5?

Yes, but only Android-based phones can use UAT encoding to output music through the HiByMusic App.

4. How to operate W5?

W5 features touch operation panel and the device also vibrates when you touch the virtual buttons.

5. How will the W5 handle Tidal MQA?

W5 will treat it as a regular track, as MQA doesn’t support Bluetooth transmission itself.

6.Will it be able to stream lossless quality audio (FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, Tidal Master Quality, etc.)?

Not yet achieved. However the audio delivered by our UAT is very close to lossless quality
